第31回 芝増上寺 薪能 / Zojoji Temple "Takigi Noh"

We are pleased to offer you an opportunity to see “Takigi Noh”, the traditional Japanese performing art of “Noh” played outdoors at night in the light of burning torches, at Zojoji Temple, Shiba Park, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

This has been made possible through the courtesy of Mr. Masaharu Umewaka, a Noh player who is a member of the Society.

Available Seats: 10 (first come, first served basis)

For registered ticket holders, a special workshop will be held on September 14 to explain how to enjoy the Noh play (in Japanese, registration required)

  • 2. Kyogen Play “Imoji” - Tohjiro Yamamoto
  • 3. Noh Play “Hajitomi” - Manzaburo Umewaka
