第33回 芝増上寺 薪能 / Zojoji Temple "Takigi Noh"

We are pleased to offer you an opportunity to see “Takigi Noh”, the traditional Japanese performing art of Noh played outdoors at night in the light of burning torches, at Zojoji Temple, Shiba Park, Minato-ku, Tokyo. This has been made possible through the courtesy of Mr. Masaharu Umewaka, a Noh player who is a member of the Society.

Available Seats: 10 (first come, first served basis)

For registered ticket holders, there will be a free-of-charge workshop (in Japanese) on how to enjoy Noh on September 24th.

  • 1. Noh Play “Tsurukame” – Manzaburo Umewaka
  • 2. Kyogen Play “Hagidaimyo” - Noritoshi Yamamoto
  • 3. Noh Play “Momijigari” – Masaharu Umewaka
